PRE-OPERATIVE SEDATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. NOTHING to eat or drink after midnight the day before surgery (not even water).

  2. There MUST be a responsible person here to accompany and drive the patient home after surgery.

  3. Wear short sleeves and wear loose fitting clothing and undergarments.

  4. Remove contact lenses.

  5. To prepare yourself following surgery: please have ice packs (to reduce swelling) and soft foods and liquids (no straws) available for your diet.

  6. We recommend that you do not smoke 72 hours prior to surgery and for 72 hours following surgery.


If unable to keep this appointment please give 48 hours notice.
